WARREN - Madeline Caputo, 93, went to be with the Lord and her husband Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Community Skilled Nursing Home. She was born February 26, 1920, in Fairbanks, PA, the daughter of Salvatore and Rosina Paradise. As a young child, her family moved to Pescara (Del Tronto), Italy where she resided until age 16 when her family moved to McKeesport, PA. She married Sam P. Caputo on December 19, 1945 and settled in the Warren area shortly thereafter. She was a homemaker and an avid baker. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and watching her two favorite teams, the Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates on TV. Madeline loved life and shared that love with family and her many friends. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society, and St. Vincent De Paul where she spent many years cooking for the underprivileged. Madeline is survived by one son, Frank (Helen Terwilliger) Caputo of Cortland; one daughter, Nancy (Albert) Cardarelli of Warren; four grandchildren, Tracie (Arthur) Lenox (Cortland), Brian (Laura) Cardarelli (Toledo, OH), Lauren Cardarelli (Las Vegas, NV), and Stephen (Lisa) Terwilliger (Waukesha, WI; four great-grandchildren, Evan and Adison Lenox and Jocelyn and Ethan Cardarelli; and three brothers, Reyo (Cleveland, OH), Henry and Jesse Paradise (McKeesport, PA). She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Sam Caputo; three brothers and one sister. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 To 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 301 High St., Warren, OH. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Community Skilled Nursing Home. The care Madeline received there was outstanding. The family would also like to thank the staff of All Caring Hospice who made her final days comfortable. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any material contributions be made to All Caring Hospice, 6715 Tippecanoe Road, Bldg B, Suite 101, Canfield, OH 44406 or Community Skilled Nursing Home, 1320 Mahoning Ave., Warren, OH 44483. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends but we take comfort in that she is with our Lord.
