Warren - Madge N. Carpenter passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Gillette Nursing Home. She was born November 24, 1921, in Evenwood, W. Virginia the daughter of the late David and Nellie Nelson. She came to Warren in 1949 from West Virginia. She retired in 1987 from Packard Electric as an inspector after 37 years. Madge was a member of St. John Paul II parish. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, working with puzzles and especially spending time with her family at any family celebrations. Survived by her niece and caregiver Diane (Marty) Urchek of Cortland, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Eugene Nelson and Bruce Nelson and two sisters Shirley Martin and Dorotha Slaven. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Roberts Bellarmine Church, 4659 State Rout 46, Cortland, Ohio 44410. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at11:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellermine Church in Cortland with Rev. Carl Kish officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. Arrangements are being handled by the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North rd. NE, Warren, Ohio.
