Obituary

Margaret Kellar, 93, of Howland, passed away at 1:50 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 in the Hospice House in Poland following a short illness.

Affectionately known as Peg by her family and friends, was born on New Years Day 1921 in Weirton, West Virginia the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Soliday) Fodor.

A 1941 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Peg, for many years was actively involved with the planning committee for her high school reunions and several annual class luncheons.

Peg previously worked for 20 years at Packard Electric. A talented floral designer, Peg was also employed with Kunkle Florist for over 20 years. She was a member of the Woman of the Moose Lodge #688 and achieved the status of College of Regents.

Peg was Lutheran by faith and attended In Spirit and Truth Fellowship in Greenville, PA.

Peg was married on June 21, 1994 to Robert "Bob" H. Kellar and they were married for 11 years until his passing on March 18, 2006.

Peg is survived by her eight step children; Joseph (Kathy) Kellar of Champion, Richard (Rose) Kellar of Cleveland, TN, Carolyn Saltzmann with whom she made her home, Janice Kapas of Niles, Larry (Kathy) Kellar of Leavittsburgh, Mike (Sherri) Kellar of Girard; Jeff (Darla) Kellar of Williamsfield; step daughter-in-law Barbara Kellar of Warren; a sister Mildred Johnson of Orlando; numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Bob, Peg was preceded in death by her first husband Carl A. Montmore; two infant daughters Sherri Georgann and Germaine Montmore; a step son Robert Kellar Jr. and a step son-in-law Kenneth J. Saltzmann.

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Apostle Floyd Smith of In Spirit and Truth Fellowship as celebrant.

Entombment will follow in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.

The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Peg's name to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Ohio 44514 or to In Spirit and Truth Fellowship 410 Kinsman Road, Greenville, PA.
