Johnston - Margaret Washko, 84, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born February 19, 1932, in Clairton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harvey A. and Ada Swonger. She was a graduate of Bloomfield High School. She retired from GE Ohio Lamp plant in Warren as a payroll Clerk after thirty five years. She was a member of Assembly of God in Bloomfield for years. She enjoyed feeding birds around her house, cooking, was a giving women, an avid Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She is survived by her children Carol S. Hoffman, and George A. Washko both of Cortland, five grandchildren Tim and Matt Hoffman, George II, Michael and Nicole Washko, and a sister Ada (Richard) Bland of Johnston. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband George Washko who she married November 25, 1954 and passed away November 7, 1992, four brothers James, Harvey Jr, Eugene, and Clarence Swonger and a sister Dorothy Koon Chambers. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio. A service will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Biehl officiating. Burial will be in Johnston Cemetery.
