Cortland - Mary E. Bevelaqua, 93, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Lake Vista in Cortland. She was born May 10, 1921 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late Pasquale and Michelina Bevelaqua. She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Mary retired from Packard Electric as an Inspector in the quality control department. She was a member of St. John Paul II Parish in Warren. Mary was an avid golfer and had been in numerous golf leagues. She is survived by her three nieces Laura (David) Boich of Warren, Michelle (Russell) Daniels of Niles and Franchesca (Phillip) Hotte of Canada, a nephew John Bevelaqua of Southington, two great nephews Colton Hobbs and Alex Hotte, and two sister-in-laws Julie Bevelaqua of Warren and Carolyn Bevelaqua of Southington. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Pasquale, Paul, Peter and Patrick "Tony" Bevelaqua and three sisters Elizabeth and Isabella Bevelaqua and Esther Maras. Family and friends may call Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at St. John Paul II Parish 420 North St. NW, Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Paul II Parish in Warren with Rev. Christ Henyk officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Warren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary's name to St. John Paul II Parish, 420 North St. NW, Warren, Ohio 44483. Arrangements are being handled by the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
