Mary K. Botko, 91, passed away at 2 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Washington Square Nursing Home.
Mary was born Aug. 12, 1921, in Oil City, Pa., the daughter of George and Mary Bosela Williams.
She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1940.
On Oct. 26, 1946, Mary married George Botko, and the two shared 53 years until his passing on March 9, 2000.
Mary and George ran George's Market in Campbell for many years. The market was located across the street from Campbell High School and was very popular with the students, who frequently went there for lunch.
Mary retired from Northside Hospital in Youngstown.
Mary was very fond of all animals, especially cats, and she enjoyed working puzzles and spending time with her twin sister, Kathryn.
Mary will be deeply missed by her twin sister, Kathryn Haas of Warren; and nephews and nieces.
She was the oldest living member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by their only son, Thomas; and her sister, Ann Drebing.
Calling hours will be 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church in Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial also at the church.
Burial will take place in All Souls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church Heritage Fund.
