Warren - Mary A. Burns, 83, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic due to complications of a stroke.. She was born March 29, 1931 in St. Michael, PA the daughter of the late John and Mary Yasenovsky. Mary moved to Warren after her marriage to her husband John in 1951. She was employed at Bank One formerly Union Savings and Trust on Elm Rd, retiring in 1988. Mary was a charter member of Blessed Sacrament Church where she was active through the years at the Church and School. She felt her children were her greatest accomplishment and they brought her much happiness. One of her favorite pastimes was attending their activities and now her grandchildren's both in and out of school. With her husband and family she spent many summers traveling the country and camping when they were young. In recent years family vacations were especially enjoyed. She is survived by her beloved husband John Burns of 63 years, six children David ( Leslie "Sue") Burns of Warren, Judith (Roger) Daub of Oberlin, OH, John Burns of Stephens City, VA, James (Wendy) Burns of Hinckley, OH, Janet Burns of Lakewood, OH, and Diane (Robert) Vargo of North Royalton, OH, nine grandchildren Jaclyn and Krista Burns, Rachel Daub, Kaelin Burns, Lane (Nikki) Gonzales, Ann and James Burns, and Evan and Drew Vargo, a great grand son Lane Gonzales, Jr., and two sisters Shirley Matsko of Scalp Level, PA, and Martha (Nick) Grillo of Windber, PA. She is preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may call today Friday, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren and Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Thomas Eisweirth officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. In lieu of flowers contributions may be in Mary's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 Family and friends may visit www.peterrossiandsonfh.com to view this obituary, sign the guest book and send condolences to the Burns family.
