Obituary

Warren - Maria Vincenza Di Ludovico cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with our Lord and to be in the loving arms of her family Sunday, January 24, 2016. She passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side. Mary Jane was born the daughter of Angelo and Maria Rosa Lucarelli on September 24, 1928 in Cupello, Italy. She came to America in 1947 and soon after met her dear husband of 55 years in Philadelphia. The couple then moved to Warren where they raised their children and grandchildren with undying love and dedication. Mary Jane was a professional and talented seamstress by trade at Strouss-Hirshberg before her marriage. She then became a homemaker to her husband and two children, which she enjoyed thoroughly. She cared for her house plants and flowers with a masterful, green thumb and was a great compliment to her husband's love for gardening. Mary Jane took great pleasure in keeping photo albums of her family throughout the years. She delighted in cooking delicious homemade, Italian food and pastries. Because of her passion for giving, she used her talents in sewing, crocheting and refinishing antique furniture to pass on priceless heirlooms for her family to use and enjoy for years to come. However, her greatest joy in life came from spending time making memories with family and friends. She survived by her children Anna Di Ludovico-Cickelli of Warren and Ralph Di Ludovico of Akron, two grandchildren Deanna (Joshua) Stutzman and Rocco Cickelli, one great grandchild Evie Camilla Stutzman, a loving friend John Swipas and nieces and nephews that where dear to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Maria Rosa, her beloved husband Camillo Di Ludovico whom she married April 24, 1954 and passed away November 27, 2009; her two brothers Nicola and Rocco Lucarelli; and her two sisters Maria and Antonietta Lucarelli. Family and friends may call Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) with Rev. Christopher Henyk officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary Jane's name to St. John Paul II Parish 1401 Moncrest Dr. NW, Warren, Ohio 44485. Mary Jane's love, kindness, humility and integrity was admired by anyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and memories of precious time spent with her will forever live on in our hearts.
