Brookfield - Mary Jo DiCarlo, 78, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2013 at Omni Manor in Austintown, Ohio surrounded by the love of her family. Mary Jo was born September 19, 1934 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Joseph E. and Katherine Loria. She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended Youngstown State University. Mary Jo had previously worked as a secretary at Reese Hardware on Market St.. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Warren. Mary Jo enjoyed knitting, needle point, oil painting, sewing, writing poems and short stories, and especially going to her grandsons athletic events and her granddaughters dancing competitions. She cherished her dogs, "Missy", "Bernadette" and "Mia". She is survived by her husband Carl L. DiCarlo whom she married April 7, 1956, two daughters Mary Jo (John) Altobelli of Howland, and Jamie (James Litz fiancAC.) DiCarlo of Southington, four grandchildren Brian (Jade), Kevin Barton, Joseph and Gina Burkey, two sisters Evelena (Robert) Barbutes of Colleyville, TX and Nancy (Robert) Stanko of Howland. She is preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may call Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church with Rev. Christopher Cicero officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.
