Niles - Mary M. Gumina, 87, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born April 4, 1927 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Joseph and Deneta Marzano. Mary moved to Niles in 1950. She was a member of Our Lady of Carmel in Niles. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and shopping. She is survived by her husband James P. Gumina whom she married June 30, 1956, two sons John Matheny of Niles, and James M. (Patricia) Gumina of Lindenhurst, NY., three grandchildren John J. (Iris) Matheny, Brian (Dawn) Matheny and Shana Diane Storey, three great grandchildren Maddison, John J. III, and Grant, and two sisters Betty West of Warren, JoAnn (Thomas) Stone of Howland. She is preceded in death by her parents, son David Matheny, three brothers Nick, Daniel, and Dominic Marzano and one sister Nelly Romaine. There will be no calling hours or service. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles.
