Obituary

Mary Limperos 1929-2013 Mary Limperos, 84, passed from this world into eternal life on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at her home. She was born February 15, 1929 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Anthony & Paraskevi Payiavlas. She grew up in a very loving and close knit family spending her teenage years helping with the family grocery business. On January 21, 1951 she married the man of her dreams, Richard A. "Dick" Limperos. Together they raised four sons and worked hard at their family business, Tony's Superette. Family was the cornerstone of life for Mary and both she and her husband shared in the joy of watching their family grow. She was a devoted mother and became the pinnacle of stability for her family. Our cherished memories include time spent together over coffee in her kitchen and the simple joy she radiated when she talked about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Left behind to carry on the family legacy are her sons Anthony (Pam) Limperos, Tom (Mary) Limperos and Bill (Patti) Limperos, all of Warren; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Dr's. Richard (Maria), Dr. Nick (Tonie), Dr. Anthony M. (Mansi), Andrew (Mary), Dr. Richard (Lindsay), Alexandra, Christopher, James, Marisa, Alena and Michael Limperos; and five great-grandchildren, Anthony, Michael, Gia, Niko and Gianna Limperos. She also leaves her mother, Paraskevi Payiavlas, brothers, John (Marisa) Payiavlas, Jim (Pari) Payiavlas, nephews, Anthony (Tina), Tony (Dawn) and Nick Payiavlas, niece, Patsy Kouvas, great-nephews, John, Constantine, Alexander & Anthony Payiavlas, and great-nieces, Kristin and Kailen Kouvas. She was preceded in death by a son, James R., her husband Dick, and her father Anthony. Calling hours will be Friday 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where a Trisagion memorial service will take place at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Building Fund or the Mary Limperos Scholarship Fund, c/o St. Demetrios Orthodox Church, 429 High Street N.E., Warren, Ohio 44481.
