Mary Ann
Mancine
February 10, 1935 – April 23, 2016
Warren - My Mom, Mary Ann Mancine (Lezaic) left earth on April 23rd, 2016. She was there for so many people all of their lives. Always putting others before her and not batting an eye. It was easy to see how my Dad, Joseph L. Mancine Sr., fell in love with her. They were as perfect as parents as any son could hope for and I am eternally grateful. They were always there for each other. Their love was unconditional. Anybody who knows my mom knows how much she loved to cook. She was known for making people smile with her nut rolls during the holidays. She loved making homemade pasta for me as young boy. I can still smell it. She loved gardening, Zumba and of course Elvis. She loved her sister Julie and her husband Tom and would do anything for them. Grandma Mancine was always the most special of persons to her. I can still hear them both trying to pay for dinner when we went out in New Castle to visit. I remember how she loved babysitting her niece Renee's kids, Chad and Lauren, and loved them all dearly. And of course, my cousin Donnie whom she treated like her own son when we were growing up. These are just a few reasons why taking care of my Mom was easy. She is a bright star in this universe. Always being as true a person you could hope for. There are a lot of friends and relatives and all were loved deeply by her, but I feel like there are a few people who were very special to her in her final days that she talked about daily and that she would want me to thank. The staff at her nursing home, National Church Residences who kept her going, these are some of the names: Lacy, Roland, Kim, Kelly, Jackie, Ruth, CC, Willie, Robin, Sonna, Kyle and Lori. There are several others and she loved you all dearly. Renee Bissett and her mom Sue who stood by her side from the day she was sick. Her goddaughter Julie Ann Kusnir who she had a special bond with for many years had always held a special place in her heart. My best friend Dawne (Lauren) who in making me happy made her happy and I know she took that thought with her. Thank you, Mom. It feels weird not seeing you this morning, but I know you are with your husband. Until we meet again. I love you. Joey She is survived by her son: Joseph L. Mancine Jr. of Cuyahoga Falls, god daughter Julia Ann Kusnir, two brothers Nick (Karen) Lezaic and Sam Lezaic and two sisters Julia (Thomas) Williams of Howland and Sylvia (Bill) Stone of Warren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph L. Mancine Sr. whom she married April 26, 1969 and passed away August 4, 1997, and three sisters Katherine, Millie, and Elizabeth, A private family service will be held.
