Warren - Mary M. Papadakis, 89, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. She was born March 2, 1927, in Aliquippa, PA, the daughter of the late John and Angelina Skarlis. She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Mary was the co-owner with her husband of the Youngstown Rd. Dairy Queen for 39 years. She was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren, . She enjoyed traveling especially spending winters in Florida, baking and helping out at the Church Festivals. She is survived by her three children, Stacey Papadakis-Richards of Howland, Joanne (Franco) Lucarelli of Warren and Gust Papadakis of Largo, FL, a daughter-in-law Sandy Papadakis of Tarpon Springs, FL,seven grandchildren Michael, Sara, and Andrew Richards, Mary Frances and Shelly Papadakis, and Nico and Gina Lucarelli, one great grandchild Ava Kelley, numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Mike Papadakis who she married April 23, 1950 and passed away August 18, 2014, a son Tom Papadakis a brother Steve Skarlis, and a sister Sophie Bournias. Family and friends may call Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. Trisagion service and Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE Warren, Ohio 44483. A service will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Orthodox Church in Warren, with Fr. Costantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Howland Twp. Cemetery.
