CORTLAND - Mary C. Pasternak, 83, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.

Mary was born April 18, 1927, in Warren, the daughter of Andrew and Mary Tvaroch Bokros Sr.

Mary retired from Copperweld Steel Co. in 1990. She was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.

Mary's husband, Stephen F. Pasternak Sr., whom she married April 15, 1950, passed away Oct. 2, 2002.

Mary leaves three sons, Stephen F. Pasternak Jr. of Warren, David E. (Darlene) Pasternak of Raleigh, N.C., and Robert A. (Stacey) Pasternak of Columbus; two daughters, Catherine A. (John) Shiamone of Cortland and Margaret M. (Bill) Hagebush of Stockton, Mo.; four sisters, Dorothy Sowa of Warren, Gerry Spano of Champion, Elaine Kania of Leavittsburg and Rita Miller of Warren; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother Andrew Bokros Jr.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sinchak and Sons Funeral Home.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
