HOWLAND - Mary C. Sgambati Mosko, 99, of Howland, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at Cortland Health Care Center.

Mary was born Oct. 29, 1911, in Niles, Ohio, the daughter of Angelo and Maddalena Presico Sgambati.

She was employed by the Warren Sanitary Milk Co. as a waitress for 19 years, then worked for Trumbull Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1977.

She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.

Mary's husband, Michael Mosko, whom she married Oct. 5, 1940, preceded her in death on June 24, 1986.

Mary is survived by four children, Marie Chinchic of Champion, Michael R. Mosko of Warren, Judy A. (Larry) Geer of Howland and John A. (Lisa) Mosko of Warren. Mary also leaves 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Calling hours will be 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests material tributes be made to SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church or Southern Care.
