Kinsman - Michael A. "Spider" Albanese, 71, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born March 13, 1943 in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Angelo and Carmel Albanese. Michael was a 1962 graduate of Liberty High School. Sgt. Albanese retired from the Warren City Police Department with 42 years of service in 2012. He was a member of the Warren F.O.P. Lodge 34. He had previously worked at Taylor Winfield and Liberty Police Department. Michael was well known for his Christmas Eve address wishing all the surrounding Law Enforcement Officers and Military Personnel a Merry Christmas. Michael served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He is survived by his children Tamy (Paul) Albanese-Geist of Warren, Shiela (Greg) Dellimuti of Warren and Michael Angelo Albanese III of Warren, five grandchildren Savannah Albanese, Dana & Maria Dellimuti, and Kayl and Kylie Geist, two great grandchildren Dakota and Donovan Albanese and best friend and brother-in-blue Manny Nites of Warren and his faithful companion, Gino. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gene Albanese. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. with services following at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren with Rev. Larry Marshal officiating. Burial will be in Belmont Park in Youngstown with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Michael's name to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County 812 Youngstown Kingsville Rd. SE, Vienna, Ohio 44473 or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 6100 Rockside Woods Suite 445, Independence, Ohio 44131.
