Warren - Nellie P. Sudzina, 84, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 at St. Joseph Health Center. Nellie was born November 2, 1928 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Anthony and Maria DelVecchio. She retired from Rite Aid Drug Store and Drexel Park Pharmacy on Parkman Rd. as a Pharmacy Tech for over 20 years. Nellie was a member of Blessed John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church). She was very active in the St. Pius X Church Altar and Rosary Society. She is survived by two children Mary Catherine (Leo) Scarnecchia of Warren, and Robert F. Sudzina of Warren, five grandchildren Ann Marie (Scott) Karabin, Mary Beth (Matthew) Donner, Michelle (Ryan) Emery, Nicholas (Susan) Sudzina and Natalie (Justin) Rush, three great grandchildren Mackenzie, Ada and Vincent, one brother Richard (Mary) DelVecchio of Champion, and a sister Betty (George) Prelac of Newton Falls. She is preceded in death by parents, husband Cyril J. "Cy" Sudzina whom she married February 10, 1948 and passed away April 1, 1998, grandson Ryan F. Sudzina and two sisters Antoinette Cardarelli and Rose DeChristofaro. Family and friends may call Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Blessed John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) with Rev. Chris Henyk officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Bazetta Twp.
