Obituary

Howland – Nicholas G. "Nick" Maligas, 55, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at his home after a long illness as a result of a work-related accident.

He was born September 29, 1961, in Warren, Ohio the son of George and Triantafillio Maligas.

He was a 1979 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and had attended Youngstown State University. He had previously worked the Brown Derby on Youngstown Rd., Sunrise Inn Downtown Warren and other food industries in the area. He was fun loving, warm hearted, loved socializing and people were drawn to him. He was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren. He enjoyed music, fishing, golfing and was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his parents of Howland, a sister Jeannie Maligas of Warren, two brothers Anthony "Tony" Maligas of Warren, and Kerry Maligas of Warren, two uncles Manuel (Lee) Maligas of Houston, TX, Mike (Mary Jane) Loulis of Newton Falls, an aunt Katina Kondolis of Warren, and numerous cousins.

Family and friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE. Warren, Ohio 44483.

A service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
