Warren - Nicholas G. Paidas, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Just Like Home. Nicholas was born September 6, 1925 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of George and Mary Paidas. He was raised in Weirton W. VA and moved to Warren in 1946 after leaving the service and was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He retired in 1985 from UNSCO as a salesman after 10 years. He previously worked at Warren Towel Supply for 20 years. Nicholas was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, AHEPA Zeus Chapter 88, Yasou and the Senior Citizens of the Church. He enjoyed working with his hands, his cats and especially his grandchildren. He served in WW-II Army 90 th Infantry Division and received the Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five Bronze Stars.. Nicholas is survived by his wife Faye Paidas whom he married July 13, 1952, two sons Dean (Mary K.) Paidas of Boardman, John (Peggy) Paidas of Warren, three grandchildren Kathryn, Alyssa and Alexis Paidas, sister-in-law Mary Paidas of Warren, niece and godchild Kathy Kondus, nephews Louie Kondus, John (Esty) Kondus, George and Harry (Cathy) Paidas. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Peter G. Paidas and two sisters Stella Kondus and Kellie Paidas. Family and friends may call Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Trisagion Service at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High St. Warren, Ohio 44481.
