Obituary

Niles - Nicholas E. Paul, 85, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the Hospice House in Poland. He was born August 5, 1930, in Leavittsburg, Ohio the son of the late Michael and Maria Paul. Nicholas was a graduate of Leavittsburg High School. After graduating high school he entered into the U.S. Navy to serve as a member on the submarine USS Conger. Nicholas was a general Forman at Republic Steel for 33 years. Upon retirement, Nicholas kept himself busy working for the State Department of Liquor Control for 10 years and Enterprise Rent-a-Car for 21 years. Nicholas was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church and the Leavittsburg American Legions Post 699. He enjoyed dancing, boating and vacationing in Siesta Key, Florida. Nicholas was a devoted and loving father and "papa". His memories will be kept alive by his children Nicholas ( Elizabeth) Paul of Valparaiso, IN, Mark ( Bridget) Paul of Warren, Jill ( James ) Iacozili of Warren, and Michael ( Kendra ) Paul of Cortland; twelve grandchildren Michaelene ( Matt ) Sennet, Natalie ( Thomas ) Mroz, Alexis ( Niko) Rice, Nicholas ( Anna ) Paul, Christinia ( Mark ) Gargas, Mark Paul, Matthew Paul, Dante ( Ashley ) Iacozili, Dominic Iacozili, Joseph, Sydny, and Addison Paul; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 62 years Barbara Paul who passed away March 14, 2013, a brother Joseph Paul and four sisters Jenny Ciferno, Margaret Fincham, Helen Robinson and Vinzina "Virginia" Santone. Family and friends may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church) with Rev. James P. Walker officiating fallowed by Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Nicholas name to Hospice House in Poland, 9803 Sharrott Rd. Youngstown, Ohio 44514..
