Obituary

Warren - A much loved sister, aunt and friend, Norma J. Napolet, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015, at the age of 72, surrounded by her family. "Aunt Norma," as she was affectionately known by all that loved her, was born on May 30, 1943, in Warren, the daughter of Harold and Lucy (DiPaolo) Napolet. Norma was a 1961 graduate of St. Mary's High School. Immediately following graduation Norma began her career in the Civil Department at Warren Municipal Court where she eventually transferred to the Criminal Department. In 1993 Norma was appointed Clerk of Courts. She was one of the few people to work at the Municipal Court for over forty years, and retired in 2003. Norma was recognized by the Trumbull County Bar Association in 2007 for her Excellence in Service. Norma loved her Italian heritage and continued to maintain memberships in the Civitellese Club throughout her lifetime. She was also a loyal supporter of the Oblate Sisters in Hubbard, Ohio, and maintained her connection with the Cinquanta Club sponsored by Oblate's. Norma's many charitable contributions would be impossible to mention. She felt blessed to be able to "give back" in any way she could. Norma was a lifetime member of St. Mary Church, in Warren, Ohio. She was also active in church activities, and attended a monthly Rosary Club with many of her friends. Norma's center of her life was her endearing love she had for her family and friends. What made her most proud was the unselfish gift of that love she gave to them. She was at her happiest during family gatherings, as this brought her the most joy. She will be remembered for the countless things she did for others while never asking for anything in return. All that knew her will remember her wonderful attitude, positive soul, but especially her great sense of humor. "Aunt Norma" is survived by her sister Marie (Manlio) Guanciale, Nephews Christopher Guanciale, Harold Napolet, and Mario (Paula) Napolet, nieces, Natalie (Greg) Hoso, Joanna Guanciale, five great nephews Anthony, Mario Napolet, Ambrose and Gennaro Hoso, and Giovanni Guanciale, five great nieces Aarika, Ella and Olivia Napolet, Ava Hoso, and Lucia Guanciale and a sister-in-law Mary Jo Napolet. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved brother Anthony "Tony" Napolet.
