Obituary

Salem - Opal M. Lockney, 87, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Alliance Community Hospital. Opal was born July 19, 1926 in Pikeville, KY. the daughter of Lee and Betty Coleman. Opal came to Warren in 1940. She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and Raefael School of Cosmetology. Opal previously worked at Ohio Lamp Division of GE. She was a member of Bolindale Christian Church and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her four children Jean (Chuck) Gerlach of Youngstown, Henry (Mary) Lockney of Niles, Eddie E. (Denise) Lockney Jr. of Salem, and Sharon Lockney of Salem, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, her dog Molly and Cat Emma. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene E. Lockney Sr. whom she married February 23, 1946 and passed away July 27, 1979, two brothers Carl and Jess Coleman and a sister Zelda Shaver. Family and friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. Service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Devadan officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
