Warren - Paraskevi Payiavlas, 104, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1910 in Chios, Greece, the daughter of the late Demetrios and Despina Kontolios. She came to Warren in 1928. Paraskevi was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren, and the Chios Society Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her whole life was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons John (Mary) Payiavlas, and James (Pari) Payiavlas both of Warren, seven grandchildren Anthony (Pamela) Limperos, Thomas (Mary) Limperos and William (Patty) Limperos, Patrice Kouvas, Anthony John (Tina) Payiavlas, Anthony James (Dawn) Payiavlas and Nicholas Payiavlas, seventeen great grandchildren Dr. Richard (Dr. Maria) Limperos, Dr. Nicholas (Tonie) Limperos, Dr. Anthony (Mansi) Limperos, Andrew (Mary) Limperos, Dr. Richard (Lindsay) Limperos, Alexandra, Christopher, James, Marisa, Alena and Michael Limperos, Kristin (John) DeJohn, Kailen Kouvas, and John, Constantine, Alexander and Anthony Payiavlas, great great grandchildren Anthony, Michael, Gia, Niko and Gianna Limperos, and a brother Pete Kontolios. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Tony Payiavlas whom she married June 3, 1928 and passed away May 14, 1989, a daughter Mary Limperos, a son-in-law Richard Limperos, a grandson James Limperos, two brothers William and George Kontolios, and two sisters Maria Siderias and Evothokia Paxos. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. Trisagion Service at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church with His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, His Eminence Metropolitan Savas of Pittsburgh and Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery Warren, Ohio.
