Obituary

Patricia Taylor, 88, of Howland, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home under the compassionate care of Hospice on July 20, 2026.

Born on July 21, 1937, in Moundsville, West Virginia, Patricia was the beloved daughter of Kenneth Richmond and Hazel Jones Richmond. She grew up in Bristol, Ohio, and graduated from Bristol High School with the Class of 1955, where she enjoyed school and proudly served as a majorette.

On October 13, 1956. Patricia married the love of her life, Richard Taylor. Together they shared more than 50 years of marriage and raised three daughters.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Taylor, her granddaughter, Angel Schrecengost; her grandson, Michael Schrecengost, her sisters, Kay Webber and Virginia Janson; and her brother, Robert Richmond.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Patricia's greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with "her girls." She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Rodney) Schrecengost, Donna (Skip) Mark, and Connie (Bob) Doskocil.

She also leaves behind her beloved granddaughters, Rae Roseland (Nathan Rastetter), Jacqueline (Aaron) Mymo, Jenna (Kenny) Bryant, Rochelle Schrecengost, and Tricia (Sean) Unger, along with eleven treasured great-grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and joy.

Patricia was a member of the Mecca Moose, the VFW, and ITAM #29. She loved spending time outdoors, making memories with family and friends, and never passed up an opportunity for a little mischief and laughter.

A gifted seamstress, Patricia lovingly created Halloween costumes, quilts, and countless handmade treasures for those she loved. She often said, "No one in this family is going to be cold," and through every stitch she wrapped her family in warmth, comfort, and love.

Before her passing, Patricia left these heartfelt words for her family:

"Hold my hand and take me to the Holy Land, to be with my friends, family, and God. I pray for those left that my love will last from me to you forever.”

Her love, generosity, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered always.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel.
