Obituary

Paul D. Bednarik, 59, of Warren, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at 7:06 p.m. in Gillette Nursing Home in Warren from complications following pneumonia.

Paul was born on December 26, 1957 in Warren the son of the late Steve M. and Margaret Novik Bednarik and was a lifelong area resident.

A 1976 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School, Paul was employed for many years as a retail manager.  He enjoyed buying and selling collectibles, frequenting flea markets and was a huge movie buff.

Paul was a lifelong member of the former SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Warren where his grandparents were charter members.  He currently was a member of the now St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish-SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church.

Paul is survived by his stepmother Betty Yenchochik Bednarik of Warren; a brother Steve J. (Barbara) Bednarik of Diamond; two sisters Marjorie Lazzio of Howland and Kathleen Bednarik of Marietta, PA; aunts Mary Ann Odom of Austintown; Helen Siska of Golf Breeze, FL and Ann Harrison of Louisville, KY; his nephew Alan (Lorrie) Bednarik; a niece Sarah (Marvin) Hoover and great nieces and great nephew Donicka, Madison and Parker Hoover.

Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his sister Gloria Bednarik Petrosky; a brother-in-law Michael Lazzio; three uncles Joseph and John Bednarik and William Panko and an aunt Margaret Pawcio Spirko.

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Sinchak & Kaszowski Funeral Home, where closing prayers will be recited on Wednesday at 9:20 a.m. prior in leaving for the church.

A Mass of Christian Burial, with Fr. Craig A. McHenry officiating, will be offered at 10:00 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish-SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.

As a sign of condolence, if family and friend's desire, memorial contributions may be made in Paul's name to the Heritage Fund of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish 2532 Burton St. SE, Warren, Ohio 44484
