Sun Valley, Nevada - Paul R. Gallo, 97, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at St. Mary's Regional Medical center in Reno, Nevada. He was born January 1, 1919 in Westmiddlesex, PA, the son of the late Donato and Carmella Gallo. He was a 1936 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He had moved to Reno in 1959 and retired as security officer at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno after 25 years. He was previously a Deputy Sherriff. Paul served our Country in the U.S. Navy, Merchant Marines and Coast Guard during WWII. He is survived by his son Paul R. (Rose) Gallo Jr of Lutz, FL, three grandchildren Susan Gallo Carr, Anthony L. Gallo Sr. and Deborah Gallo Highsmith, a sister Catherine "Kate" Santo of Spring Hill, FL. and his companion Melvina Petersdorf. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Shirley Stirpe, two brothers Danny Gallo and Michael Gallo Sr, four sisters Sue Baugher, Fay Gallo, Antoinette "Toni" Curcio and Mary Cooley.
