Paul Emmet Marado

HOWLAND – Paul Emmet Marado, 64, passed away on September 12, 2026, at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his family.

Paul confronted his illness with resilience for many years before ultimately succumbing to brain cancer.

He was born on August 5, 1962, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Charles R. and Helen Reese Marado.

Paul graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1981 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Youngstown State University. He served his country for four years in the United States Air Force, 10 years in the US Air Force Reserve, and was a proud veteran.

Paul spent much of his time outside, but spent every morning making breakfast for his mom. Every summer, he kept gardens at both his home and his childhood home. He loved adventure and rarely said no to an invitation. He frequently traveled to his best friend’s home South Carolina, his niece's home in Jacksonville, Florida, and his sister’s home in Gulf Breeze, Florida. He also cherished his time in Key West, Florida, watching the sunset, being by the ocean,and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. Paul listened to all genres of music and was known for making up his own lyrics. He loved coming up with nicknames, had a passion for baking and cooking, and served as the ultimate family food critic.

An exceptionally talented craftsman, Paul possessed excellent carpentry and building skills. He remodeled his own home and four other properties. He also spent many hours alongside his dad and brother bringing his dad’s vision of the family cabin to life in Tionesta, Pennsylvania.

He filled every single day with hard work and his unique brand of fun. It will truly be a different world without Paul “Pedet” Marado.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Shiela (Dan) Pallante of Warren; his son, Brandon Marado of Warren; his grandchildren, Jude, Nolli, Clover, and Ripley; and his mother, Helen Marado of Warren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Kate Marado of Niles, Laura “Lolli Lolli” Marado of Columbus, Linda “Flo” (Michael) Prokop of Canal Winchester, Jean “JD” Marado of Howland, Marilyn “Mayo” Podojil of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Nancy “Busty” (John) Gallagher of Long Island, New York, and Annette Marado of Brookfield; his brothers, Mike “Deuce” (Julie) Marado of Austintown and David (Kara) Marado of Oxford, Ohio; his best friend, Tom Venetti of Tega Cay, South Carolina, his cherished niece, Amelia Steiner and her family; as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Marado; his sister, Barbara H. Susa; his brother, Charles A. Marado; and his grandson, Thomas Pallante.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd NE, Warren, Ohio 44483. A prayer service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 9:15 a.m. at Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, St. James Church, 2532 Burton St SE, Warren, Ohio 44484.
