Warren - Penelope "Penny" Spetsios, 95, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Autumn Hills. She was born December 28, 1919, in Chios, Greece the daughter of the late Demetrios and Kyrakic Makarigakis. She came to Warren in 1952 and retired from the Servomation Corporation as a cafeteria worker after ten years. She was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren and St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church in Georgia. She was also a member of Philoptohos Society, the Daughters of Penelope and the Chios Society. Penny enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, knitting, crocheting and reading especially the Bible. She is survived by her children Maria Cahill of Atlanta, GA, and James Spetsios of Warren, three grandchildren Athena Cahill, Kristyn and Kassandra Spetsios. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George K. Spetsios whom she married May 2, 1953 and passed away January 9, 1978, two sisters. Family and friends may call Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren. Service will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. at the Church with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren. Though Penelope's life with us on this earth has ended, it is a comfort to know that life does not end with death but begins anew in eternity. May her memory be eternal.
