Champion - Pete Genos, 74, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at his residence with his family by his side. Pete was born January 20, 1941 in Martins Ferry, Ohio the son of the late Anastasios "Tassos" and Catherine Genos. He was 1959 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and an Associates Degree from Kent State University in Mechanical Engineering. He retired in 1999 from Packard Electric and Delphi as a welder and fabricator after 39 years. Pete was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Champion where he was an usher and sang in the choir. He enjoyed woodworking, yard work, fishing and traveling. Pete served in U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam era. He is survived by his wife Pam Genos whom he married December 26, 1991, four children Barbara (Richard) Mascio of Warren, OH, Connie Bressler of Lakewood, OH, Veronica Harris of Tempe, AZ, and Alice (Charles) Moore of Garretsville, OH, fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, a brother James (Martha) Genos of Champion and a sister Ethel (Mike) Theodore of Holwand. He is preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Michael Kotkowski and a nephew Michael Theodore. Family and friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren and Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Champion. Service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church 5481 Mahoning Ave. in Champion. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Pete's name to Grace Baptist Church 5418 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren, Ohio 44483 or Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market St. Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
