Phyllis A.
Robbins
July 3, 1926 – October 11, 2013
Phyllis A. Robbins, 87, of Warren, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 11, 2013.
Born July 3, 1926 in Warren, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Howard G. and Dorothy (Leech) Dillon and was a graduate of LaBrae High School.
Phyllis married Robert M. "Bob" Robbins on September 29, 1951 and was a wonderful homemaker who loved to cook and redecorate. She was especially proud of the Century Home in Kinsman she and Bob restored and the backyard garden at her home in Warren was where she could be found from Spring until Fall.
Golfing, swimming and reading were just some of Phyllis's many passions and she was very active with the Trumbull Art Guild. In later years, while watching her granddaughter, she was known to build a mini golf course in the yard so that she and Kelli could practice together. Her trips to the beach and rousing conversations over coffee will be missed by family and friends alike.
Phyllis leaves behind her loving family; two sons, Pat D. (Joanne) Robbins of Warren and Michael C. Robbins of Alvarado, Texas; a daughter, Susan J. (Kevin) Burkey of Cortland; five grandchildren; Kelli A. (Kevin) Denman, Carl Ray (Danielle) Robbins, Lori Racy, Jennifer Henry and Chelsea Robbins; nine great grandchildren; and her dear friends Jo Pardee, Al Battista and Phyllis Hammond.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Robert M. "Bob" Robbins on June 9, 2012; a son Robert "Jeff" Robbins and her brother, Jerry Dillon.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 12Noon at the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.
The family would like to say thank you to all the caregivers at Community Commons Assisted Living and Community Skilled Nursing Care. Each and every one of them meant something special to her.
