WARREN - Richard G. Buffone, 68, of Warren, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010, in St. Joseph Health Center.

Richard was born July 28, 1941, in Steubenville, a son of Carl J. and Christine Yurco Buffone.

Richard served in the United States Air Force.

He retired from Packard Electric Co. in 1990.

Richard was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church, where he was an usher for many years.

He was a member of the Western Reserve Quarterback Club, Scrappers Backers and also worked at Scrapper Stadium. Richard was a member of the Italian Festival Committee, and for many years he played Santa Claus at the Eastwood Mall.

Richard leaves his three brothers, Carl A. Buffone of Warren, Robert Buffone of Milwaukee and Edward Buffone of Leavittsburg; two nephews; and one niece.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Our King Catholic Church, preceded by a 9:20 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
