Richard E. "ZZ" Slomcheck, 62, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at his residence.

Richard was born June 2, 1949, in Warren, the son of Joseph A. and Genevieve E. Bugos Slomcheck.

He worked for Kennametal Inc. Richard enjoyed shooting pool and building and driving hot rods.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Jennifer J. Slomcheck and fiance Thomas Pifer of Girard; his longtime companion, Susan M. Priddy of Champion and her daughters, Samantha (Dan) Rihel of Cortland and Dodi Priddy and fiance Richard Vogan of Cortland; her granddaughters, Brittany (Travis) Beach and Hannah Rihel; and her great-grandchildren, Austin, NaKayla and Autumn.

Richard also leaves his brothers, Robert D. (Pam) Slomcheck of Warren and Joseph J. (Kathy) Slomcheck of Champion, and a nephew, William (Angie) Slomcheck of Warren.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Slomcheck.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Sinchak and Sons Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery.
