Howland - Robert (Bob) L. Pavick, 85, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 20, 2015. He was born January 2, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Anna Pavick. Bob moved to Warren at age nine and graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in the class of 1948. He attended Kent State University. Bob was employed by Packard Electric and worked there for 43 years before retiring in October of 1991. He was a Director of Seven Seventeen Credit Union for 30 years and Chairman for 14 years. In 2014 he was honored by the Credit Union with the William A. Herring Society Award for steadfast commitment to the Credit Union movement. He served his country as a U.S. Army Sergeant during the Korean War where he also received a citation for ski instruction while stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. In addition to enjoying time with his family, Bob was an avid and lifelong Warren G. Harding football fan and attended their games for last seventy years. Bob was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church where he volunteered as Vice President and Treasurer of St. Vincent de Paul Society. His community service included delivery of food baskets and work in the soup kitchen. He was also Treasurer of the United We Sit, a group for those with spinal cord injuries. Bob is survived by adoring wife of 57 years, Kathleen (Davis) Pavick; his daughters, Debbie (Joe Block) Pavick of Evanston, IL, Cheryl (Jim) Soggs of Atlanta, GA, and Gail Pavick of Warren, and four grandchildren Alex Block, Jake, Evan and Sasha Soggs. Memorial calling hours will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Blessed Sacrament Church. A Memorial Mass will be at 12:00 noon at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Thomas Eisweirth officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Blessed Sacrament Church 3020 Reeves Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, or Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market St. Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
