Warren - Roger Taneri, 80, passed away Thursday, Febraury 4, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born June 18, 1935 in Warren, Ohio the son of the late Constance and Ilene Taneri. He was 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He retired in 1993 from Peerless-Winsmith Inc. as a machinist after 34 years. Roger was also an Auxiliary Police Officer for 20 years and a drummer in various local bands for forty years. He also played Santa Claus for twenty years for various functions and organizations. He is survived by his children Joyce L. Savric, Denice (Tom) Katon and Linda (Kevin) Cooper all of Port Lucie, FL, five grandchildren Brittany (Kevin) Shaw, Breana Black, Desiree (Doug) Peterson, David Shorts, and Thomas Katon, one great grandchild Gavin Shaw, two brothers William "Whitey" (Helen) Taneri of Warren and James "Sonny Boy" (Pat) Taneri of Niles and a sister Leda (Joseph) Lody of Warren. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Constance "Connie", Robert, Albert and Eugene Taneri and two sisters Mary Taneri and Vivian Ford. Family and friends may call Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE Warren, Ohio. A service will be Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev.
