NORTH BLOOMFIELD - Ronald J. Kalas, 84, died peacefully on June 3, 2026, at his home surrounded by his daughters.
Born on February 3, 1942, in Lockwood, Ohio, the son of Matthew and Elizabeth Gresock Kalas.
A proud graduate of Maplewood High School, Ronald embarked on a career as a farmer for Kraft Foods, where he contributed for many years until his retirement. His commitment to the land and the community was evident in the care and passion he brought to his profession.
Beyond his professional life, Ronald was a passionate supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals, finding joy in watching and rooting for his favorite team. His love for sporting events extended to bowling and skiing, activities he eagerly enjoyed. Most importantly, Ronald's heart belonged to his three daughters, with whom he treasured spending precious moments alongside their families.
Ronald is survived by his daughters: Haley Kalas (Chris) of Pasadena, California; Lyndsay (Brian) Devlin of Newton Falls; and Rebekah (Lou) Infante of Calcutta. He also found great pride and joy in his seven grandchildren—Elizabeth, Cooper, Louie, Tucker, Olive, Josephine, and Elliot—who were a source of endless happiness.
He is also survived by his sisters AnnaMae Tabak of Austintown and Betsy Lesko of Kinsman, as well as his brothers George Kalas of Orwell and Matthew Kalas of North Bloomfield.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Virginia Lenyo, Ella Kalas, and Marydell Ragalyi; and brothers Arthur, Joseph, and Mickey Kalas.
Per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
