Obituary

Niles - After living a happy and fulfilled life, Rosalyn Kellogg (Vandy) passed away with her family present on June 7, 2016. Rosalyn "Roz" was born in Warren, OH, the daughter of Frank and Lucy Vandy, on July 6, 1942. She grew up in Warren with her parents, two brothers, and one sister. In the early 1960s she settled in Niles, OH after marrying her high school sweetheart and love of her life, her beloved late husband, David Kellogg, Sr. Dave and Roz were married July 21, 1962, a union that would last for over 50 years. In 2012, the dynamic duo celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in conjunction with both of their 70th birthdays! It was a beautiful and memorable celebration that will be cherished forever. Roz was a 1960 graduate of Warren G. Harding high school and later thrived in a successful career within the mortgage banking industry. After 30+ years, Roz happily retired from Huntington Bank. Roz enjoyed dancing with her husband, playing card games, taking vacations, attending family reunions, relaxing at the pool, shopping for everything, spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, and always welcoming and entertaining guests at her winter home located in The Villages, FL. She was an extremely loving and caring person, devoted wife, sister, grandmother, cousin and friend, always thinking of others and stopping at nothing to ensure her family was happy. Her passionate personality, entertaining nature, witty charm, endless humor, and fun-loving attitude will be missed by all. Rosalyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dave Kellogg Sr. along with her parents, Frank and Lucy Vandy. Roz is vibrantly survived by her adoring family; two sons, Steven Kellogg (Kim), David Kellogg, Jr. (Brooke); and one daughter, Kristin Kellogg Reichard. Roz also leaves behind 6 granddaughters, Amanda Reichard, Alissa Reichard, Caroline Kellogg, Katlyn Kellogg, Emily Kellogg, and Abigail Kellogg along with 2 grandsons: Jacob Kellogg and David Kellogg. Roz is also survived by her three siblings, Carl (Pauline) Vandy, James (Lynne) Vandy and Virginia (Joe) Merlo, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends may call in memory of Roz on Friday, June 10 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd NE, Warren, OH 44483and on Saturday, June 11 from 9:30 to 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church 3020 Reeves Rd. NE Warren, Ohio 44483. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Rd NE, Warren, OH 44483 with Rev. Thomas Eisweirth officiating.
