Warren - Ruth A. Parana, 87, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at St. Joseph Health Center. She was born February 11, 1927 in Hopwood, PA, the daughter of Stephen A. and Mary Elizabeth Klein. She was 1945 graduate of North Union High School in Union Town, PA. Ruth moved to Warren in 1946 and retired in 1968 from Ohio Lamp and had worked at the Buena Vista for many years. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren, the twenty year club at Ohio Lamp and Sts. Peter & Paul Ladies Guild. Ruth enjoyed gardening with flowers and vegetables, crossword puzzles, cooking, golfing, dinning out with her friends, a big football fan and she always read her Bible daily. She is survived by her niece and care giver Maryann (John "JD") DiCenso of Warren, nephew Robert Whyel who was nephew but was raised as her sibling, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband George "Uncle George" Parana whom she married January 28, 1950 and passed away January 18, 2006, infant son George Parana, Jr. who died at birth, four brothers William, David, Jack, and Robert Klein and four sisters Sara Whyel, Florence Rishel, Louise Sebben and Elizabeth Klein. Family and friends may call Monday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A service will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Fr. Andrew Deskevich officiating. Entombment will be in All Souls in Bazetta.
