Cortland – Shawn D. Cook, 45, entered eternal life on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at his home in Cortland.

He was born October 15, 1971, in Warren, Ohio the son of Eugene and Janet Cook.

He was a 1990 graduate of Howland High School. Shawn had previously worked for the Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer Department as a Water Operator for 15 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, boating, playing soccer and baseball for the Howland Athletic Club.

Shawn had a big heart and was very generous with his time to help family and friends and will be deeply missed by all especially his Dad and Mom.

Shawn is survived by his parents of Howland, three brothers Kevin Cook of Seattle Washington, Brian (Audrey) Cook of Columbiana, OH, their three children Lauren, Benjamin, and Andrew, and Colin (Celine PhD.) Cook of Paris, France, and their children Jeremie and Gabrielle, he will also be missed by his fiancée Renee Sample. Also, his dogs Cassie and Buddy brought him a lot of joy.

Family and friends may call Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

A Rosary Service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. Requiem Mass at the Queen of the Holy Rosary Church 291 Scoville Drive Vienna, Ohio 44473 with Fr. Philip Wolfe officiating.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
