Sophie A. Maddox, 53, of Warren, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 6:30 a.m. in the Cleveland Clinic.

Sophie was born on October 20, 1960 in Warren the daughter of the late Albert W. and Lillian L. (Knight) Klein Sr. and was a 1978 graduate of Lakeview High School.

A member of Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren, Sophie was a member of the St. Benedict Auxlliary. She was a past Girl Scout Leader of Troops 342 and 48. She enjoyed playing BUNCO with friends, vacationing to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and was an avid QVC shopper.

Sophie is survived by her husband of 24 years William "Bill" Maddox whom she married on July 15, 1989; three daughters Sarah (Brian) Rudd of Warren, Katie (Garvin) Beadle of Garretsville and Kelsey Maddox of Warren; step children Tracy Hill of Maryland, William Maddox of Canfield and Patty Wilson of Leavittsburg; a brother Albert (Terry) Klein of Dayton; a sister Cindy Klein of Niles; and her niece Jackie Lorge of North Carolina. She is also survived by ten grandchildren Samantha, Alex, Jackie, Zoe, Ashlyn, Andrew, Rylee, Will, Brian Jr. and Kailyn.

Calling hours will take place on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home, where a Panichida Service will be recited at 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service with the Very Rev. Andrew Deskevich officiating will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to leaving for church.

Burial will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Lordstown.

The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Sophie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
