Warren - Stanley M. "Stush" Olszewski, 87, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at St. Joseph Health Center E.R.. He was born June 28, 1926 in Warren, Ohio the son of Michael and Helen Halinski Olszewski. Stanley was a 1944 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He retired from Ohio Lamp Division of GE as a mechanic in 1986 after 40 years. Stanley was a member of Blessed John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church), where he was an Adult Server and on the Church Council, and K of C #620. He had been a coach for many years for the Warren City Youth Baseball Leagues. Stanley was an avid Baseball fan and Notre Dame football fan and enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Stanley served in WW II in the U.S. Navy serving in the Pacific Theater on the USS Ringgold DD-500. He is survived by his wife Margaret J. Olszewski, six children James (Noreen) Olszewski of Murraysville, PA., Joanne (Jay) Mulligan of Cortland, Janice Olszewski of Cortland, Katherine (Lynn) Claybrook of Brookneal, VA, Michael (Kerrie) Olszewski of Warren,and Timothy (Ewa) Olszewski of Kenton, OH, twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a brother Raymond (Alta Jean) Olszewski of Warren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Victoria Pytlik. Family and friends may call Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) with Rev. Christopher Henyk officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Champion. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Blessed John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) 420 North St. NW, Warren, Ohio 44483.
