Warren - Susan Nicholas, 79, of Warren, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, September 7, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Susan was born December 28, 1946, in Leavittsburg, Ohio, a daughter of the late Matthias and Gertrude (Quinlan) Bradley. She was a 1964 graduate of Leavittsburg High School.
A proud homemaker and devoted wife and mother, Susan also dedicated 25 years of her life to serving children as a teacher’s aide with the Trumbull County Educational Service Center. Her caring nature and genuine compassion touched countless lives throughout her years of service.
Susan found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time outdoors. She loved gardening and working in her yard, taking pride in making her home and surroundings beautiful. The swimming pool she prepared and maintained each summer transformed her home into a gathering place filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories, where picnics, birthday celebrations, and sleepovers brought her children and grandchildren together year after year. She was also an excellent cook and took particular pride in mastering the art of making delicious baklava and Greek desserts, recipes and traditions she learned from her mother-in-law.
Above all, Susan was a woman with a generous and giving spirit. She was always ready to support a worthwhile charity and never hesitated to lend her time, encouragement, or kindness to others. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She lovingly supported her children and grandchildren in all of their activities and was always there to celebrate their accomplishments, cheer them on, and make them feel loved. Her family was the center of her world, and the love she gave them will remain a lasting part of their lives.
Susan will always be remembered and deeply missed by her beloved husband of 61 years, Nick Nicholas of Warren; her children, Nick (Amy) Nicholas of Leavittsburg, Mike (Debbie) Nicholas of Struthers, Amy (Ron) McCollum of Howland, and Jeff (Melissa) Nicholas of Cortland; her grandchildren, Josh (Megan), Ryan (Emilee), Evan, Amber Susan, Fiona, Nick Jr., Jessica, Adin, Hannah, Grace (Seth), and Xander; and her great-grandchildren, Logan, Alina, Rose, and Isla Susan.
She is also survived by her siblings, Cindy (Bill) Naylor, Sally Jo Zubyk, Patty Carl, Kathleen (Larry) Kellar, Matt (Janie) Bradley, and Tim (Sue) Bradley; brothers-in-law, Jim (Carol) Nicholas and Ernie (Mary) Nicholas; sister-in-law, Georgia Leventis; and countless nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Nicholas.
Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Susan on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 11 to 1pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.
