Warren - Theresa S. Palmer, 89, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Lake Vista in Cortland. She was born April 1, 1925 in Reggio Calabria, Italy the daughter of the late Vincent and Carmela Spano. She moved to the Warren area in 1947. Theresa retired in 1986 from St. Mary's School as the head cafeteria cook after 25 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Warren. Theresa enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting chemo caps to donate to the American Cancer Society. She was also an avid supporter of Relay for Life. She also enjoyed gardening, and cooking for her family. She is survived by her three children Vincent (Diane) Palmer of Canfield, Antonette (Ken J. Bako) Marchese of Warren and Tracy (Richard) Miller of Howland, seven grandchildren Lori (Patrick) Bell, Melissa (Nathan) Russo, Brandon and Zachary Miller, Valentina (Marc) Zivica, Angelica and Christian Palmer, and two great grandchildren Samuel and Dominic Bell. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Samuel Palmer whom she married September 6, 1947 and passed away November 4, 1993, and a sister Catherine Spano. Family and friends may call Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.and Monday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Warren with Rev. Christopher Cicero officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Theresa's name to Lake Vista of Cortland 303 N. Mecca St. Cortland, Ohio 44410.
