WARREN - Thomas S. Balasa, 68, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 25, 2026.
Born on August 15, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Miklos and Magdalena Balasa.
A proud graduate of St. Ignatius High School, Thomas went on to serve honorably in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that instilled in him a deep sense of duty and patriotism. It is both poignant and meaningful that he departed this life on Memorial Day, a solemn occasion dedicated to honoring those who have fought to protect our nation.
Thomas built a long and distinguished career as a pipe fitter, working for several companies throughout his years of labor. He eventually retired after many years of service from Edwards, where his work ethic and reliability earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Above all, Thomas treasured his family. He married the former Jennifer Ostruh on October 11, 1985, and together they shared a lifetime of memories. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; his children Jeff (Angela) Becker of Norton, Ohio, Amanda (Andrew) Walter of Lancaster, Ohio, and Jarred Balasa of Wooster, Ohio; brother, Nicholas Balga of Washington State and his beloved grandchildren, Zachary, Xander, and Jeffrey Becker, along with Mya Frances and Madelyn Walter—who were a source of immense joy to him.
Per Thomas' wishes, there will be no services.
Professional services are being handled by the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel.
