June 28, 1941 – December 4, 2017
Champion – Tom Hasija, 76, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 of congestive heart failure at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
He was born June 28, 1941, in Croatia, the son of the late Fabian and Magdalena (Pintac) Hasija.
Tom came to Warren in 1968 and retired from Delphi as a cutter in plant 14 after 30 years. He enjoyed building and repairing antique radios, traveling with his companion Gloria Yokley of Warren, gardening, farming, and making wine and kielbasa.
He is survived by his two children John (Jenny) Hasija of Saline, MI, and Catherine (Billy) Fulcher of Niles, five grandchildren Tyler, Keturah, Teresa, Tanner and Tiffany, one great grandson William, a brother Matt (Nada) Hasija of Youngstown, a sister Helen of Croatia, and two nephews and their family Miro and Mario of Croatia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn Hasija whom he married December 28, 1968 and passed away February 19, 2000, three brothers Zvonimir "Bill", Ivan, and Joseph Hasija, and a sister Slava.
A private family service was held Wednesday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
Burial was in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
