Tomas Zapata, 89, of Warren, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in his home.

Mr. Zapata was born on December 11, 1924 in Langtry, Texas, the son of the late Antonio and Salome (Alonzo) Zapata.

Retired from LTV Steel Co, Mr. Zapata was a member of Blessed John Paul II Parish in Warren.

Mr. Zapata was married to Frances Gonzalez Zapata and she preceded him in death on September 23, 2013.

Tomas is survived by a son Thomas A. Zapata of Warren; two sisters Theodora Chapa of Laredo, Texas and Elvira Zapata of Louisville, Kentucky; and a brother Ramon Zapata of Brundige, Alabama.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
