WARREN - Velma E. Beskid, 91, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Valley View Retirement Community in Belleville, Pa.

She was born Jan. 30, 1920, in Grindstone, Pa., the daughter of John and Mary Gall Recser.

She retired from Trumbull Lamp Co. in Warren.

She leaves two sons, Nicholas J. Jr. of Naperville, Ill., and David P. of Ballston Lake, N.Y.; two daughters, Susan K. Colyer of State College, Pa., and Mary Ann Junia of St. George, Utah; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas J. Beskid Sr., two brothers and three sisters.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home. A chapel service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pineview Cemetery.
