Obituary

Howland - Walter "Ed" Landor, 75, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 10, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 6, 1940, in Canton, Ohio, the son of the late Walter A. and Mildred Landor. He was a 1958 graduate of Canton Central Catholic, and the Ohio State University with a Bachelor in Business Administration, and did post graduate work at Kent State University. He retired in 2002 from the Trumbull County Planning Commission where he worked for over thirty years including as Deputy Director. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Warren. Walter enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, working out and taking care of his beloved cat Cocoa. He is survived by his wife Joanna whom he married August 5, 1972 at St. John's Catholic Church in Canton, OH, his four daughters Melissa (Chuck) Valot of Howland, Kara (Michael) Sutyak of Cleveland, Laura (Scott) Infante of Green and Theresa (Justin) Knapik of Hermitage, PA, six grandchildren Chloe Freedy, Chelsea and Seth Valot, Preston and Seraphina Infante and Clare Knapik, a sister Betty Etter of North Lawrence, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Patricia Callahan and Mary Frances Connors. Family and friends may call Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio, and Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren. A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Thomas Eisweirth officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ed's name to Blessed Sacrament Church 3020 Reeves Rd.
