Warren - William "Bill" Ahladis, 87, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at St. Joseph Health Center, surrounded by his family. Bill was born January 1, 1929 in Warren, Ohio the son of the late Nicholas and Archondoula Ahladis. He was 1947 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and the Warren Business College with an Associate Degree in Accounting. He retired in January 1990 from GM Fisher Body Fab Plant as a Payroll Accountant after 24 years. He had previously worked for Warren City Street Department. Bill was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren, where he served as Financial Secretary for many years, AHEPA Zeus #88, United Sons of Fourni, Senior Citizens of the Church, Chios Society, and the Bazetta VFW Post #540. Bill also served on the Church Parish Council as past president and treasurer, and Youth Director of the Church. He was passionate about all his activities: his faith, his work, his sports, but most of all, his family. He is survived by his children Nick (Amy) Ahladis, Arlene (David) DiCesare, Jeff Ahladis, Demetrios "Jimmy" (Nikki) Ahladis, Evangelia "Ghia" (John) Burzynski, twelve grandchildren Angelia (John), Michael, Alyssa, Matthew, Jenna, Elizabeth, Alena Anastasia, William Michael, Aleczander, Athena, Kaya Sofia and Alexander, four great grandchildren LeAunnea, Anthony, John Michael, and Axton, three brothers Gust (Sylvia) Achladis of Warren, James Ahladis of Warren and Larry N. (Marlene) Ahladis of Estero, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Anastasia "Tessie" Ahladis who he married May 29, 1955 and passed away March 19, 2013, a son John Ahladis, a daughter-in-law Elizabeth "Beth" Ahladis, three brothers John N., Steve and Mike Ahladis, and two sisters Eva Nicholudis, and Antonette "Toni" Grammatikos. Family and friends may call Monday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. Trisagion Service and Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483. A service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
