William P. Brown, 76, of Cortland, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 10:15 p.m. in Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Home in Howland with his family by his side.

Bill was born on March 17, 1937 in Warren the son of the late William and Alice (Reifinger) Brown Sr.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren. Bill was the former owner and operator of Brown's Amusement of Cortland.

Bill is survived by his wife the former Yvonne Roman whom he married on August 4, 1956; two children Renee (David) Stevens of Champion and Mark (Katherine) Brown of Warren; a sister Helen Davis of Warrensville Heights; four grandchildren Alan (Breanna), Erika, Rebecca and Emily and a great grandson Owen.

Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister Louetta Toriello.

Calling hours will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.

A Christian Burial Service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Fr. John Lodi officiating.
