Warren - William "Bill" Capito, 89, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Health Center from complications due to a stroke, Bill was born January 1, 1925 in Warren, Ohio the son of Lawrence and Susan Capito. He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He received a BS in Engineering and a Masters in Public Administration from Ohio University. Bill retired from GMC/Packard Electric after 35 years in plant Engineering. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Bill enjoyed going to the YMCA, playing tennis, gardening and wood working. Bill served in WWII in the Army Air Corp. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Capito whom he married in August 1949, two children Mary J. (Doug) DePaul of Girard, and James "Jim" (Dinah) Capito of Powell, a daughter-in-law Karen Capito of Atlanta, GA., four grandchildren Lyndsey DePaul, Andrew (Kendra) DePaul, Zachary and Caroline Capito, and a brother George Capito of Warren. He is preceded in death by his parents, son William H. Capito, a brother Frank Capito and two sisters Mary Horsfall and Josephine O'Laughlin. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Thomas Eisweirth officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Bill's name to Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483. Arrangements are being handled by the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
